  • Nachgelagerte Zuführungen: gesammelte Bewertungen füllen dynamische Blöcke in Win-Back-, Browse-Abandonment- und Produktempfehlungs-E-Mails.

Z njo ujamete težave zasebno in okrepite zagovornike. Je del načrta z največjim vzvodom.

6. Razširite zadovoljno vejo v priporočila in vsebino uporabnikov

Ko delitev razpoloženja deluje, pozitivna veja postane pogon.

7. Zberete ocene spravite nazaj v delo

Zbiranje ocen je polovica vrednosti. Druga polovica je njihovo trošenje. Izvlecite resnične citate in fotografije kupcev v svoje poteke za pridobivanje — kako uporabiti vsebino ocen v sporočilih za ponovno pridobivanje in zapuščeni ogled pokaže, kako usklajena ocena dvigne pretvorbo brez popusta. To zapre zanko: ocene, ki ste jih zbrali v korakih 1–6, zdaj poganjajo poteke drugod v vaši trgovini.

Kje naj večina trgovin začne (in kje se ustavi)

Vseh sedmih ne zgradite naenkrat. Če začenjate na hladno, naredite ta vrstni red in se ustavite, ko vam ta mesec zmanjka časa:

  1. Popravite čas (korak 1) — največji posamezen vzvod.
  2. Dodajte zaporo za vračila (korak 3) — prepreči škodo.
  3. Dodajte vejo razpoloženja (korak 5) — potek spremeni v sistem.

Kako izmeriti celoten program

Tega ne sodite le po številu ocen. Sledite verigi:

  • Stopnja prestrezanja negativnih — koliko nezadovoljnih kupcev ste dosegli, preden so šli v javnost.

A Complete Review Automation Plan for Ecommerce Stores

A complete review automation plan is a small number of connected flows that do four jobs: ask the right customer at the right time, sort happy from unhappy, act differently on each, and feed the reviews you collect back into the rest of your marketing. Most stores have one piece of this — a single “leave a review” email — and treat the job as done. This walkthrough is the whole system, in build order, so you can see how the parts fit and where each one hands off to a deeper guide. Think of it as the map; the linked articles are the individual roads. If you build these in sequence, you’ll go from “we sometimes get reviews” to a program that reliably produces social proof, catches problems before they go public, and pays for itself in extra conversions.

Why one review email isn’t a plan

The single review email fails quietly. It fires on a fixed delay, ignores what the customer bought, ignores whether they returned it, treats a delighted customer and a frustrated one identically, and then lets the reviews it collects sit on the product page doing one job. Nothing is wrong enough to notice. It just under-performs at every stage.

A real plan treats reviews as an input to your whole store, not a box to tick. More reviews mean better-converting product pages, stronger recovery emails, sharper product recommendations, and early warning when something’s going wrong with a product. Each flow below is a piece of that, and they reinforce each other — which is exactly why building them piecemeal leaves so much value on the table.

The plan, in build order

Build these in sequence. Each stage assumes the one before it works.

1. Get the timing right first

Everything downstream depends on asking when the customer actually has an opinion. Ask on delivery and you get shrugs and empty ratings; ask too late and the purchase is forgotten. The right delay depends on the product — a phone case is ready in days, a mattress in weeks. Start here: when is the best time to ask an ecommerce customer for a review. Get this wrong and no amount of clever copy downstream will save your response rate.

2. Split product reviews from store-experience reviews

“How was your product?” and “How was ordering from us?” are two different questions, and mashing them together gets you muddy answers to both. Decide which you’re asking, when, and how to route each. The distinction also matters for edge cases like returns, so wire it early: how to separate product reviews from store experience reviews.

3. Suppress the asks that shouldn’t fire

Before you scale sending, add the brakes. A customer who returned an item should never get a “how do you like your product?” email — that one mismatch does outsized damage. Set suppression at the line-item level and re-route full refunds to service recovery. The full rule is in when should a review request stop after a return or refund. Building this before you turn up volume saves you from apologizing later.

4. Handle the non-responders

Most people won’t answer the first ask. That’s normal, and it’s where a second, lighter touch earns real extra reviews — as long as it doesn’t tip into nagging. The reminder logic, timing, and where to stop live in what to do when customers ignore your first review request.

5. Branch on sentiment — the core of the whole system

This is the stage that turns a review flow into a review system. When a review comes in, read it and act differently based on what it says.

Without this branch, you’re publishing your worst feedback and ignoring your warmest fans. With it, you catch problems privately and amplify advocates. It’s the highest-leverage part of the plan.

6. Extend the happy branch into referrals and UGC

Once the sentiment split works, the positive branch becomes an engine. A five-star customer is your best source of both new customers (referrals) and content (photos, video). Connect these into one post-purchase sequence rather than separate blasts — the full build is how to build a review and referral journey after purchase.

7. Put the reviews you collect back to work

Collecting reviews is half the value. The other half is spending them. Pull real quotes and customer photos into your recovery flows — using review content in win-back and browse-abandonment messages shows how a matched review lifts conversion without a discount. This closes the loop: the reviews you gathered in steps 1–6 now power flows elsewhere in your store.

Where most stores should start (and where to stop)

You don’t build all seven at once. If you’re starting cold, do this order and stop when you run out of time this month:

  1. Fix timing (step 1) — biggest single lever.
  2. Add return suppression (step 3) — prevents damage.
  3. Add the sentiment branch (step 5) — turns the flow into a system.

That’s a genuinely good program on its own. Referrals, UGC, and cross-flow reuse (steps 6–7) are the expansion once the core runs clean. Building them before the core exists is how stores end up with a referral widget nobody uses and a win-back email with no reviews to put in it.

What to automate, across the whole plan

  • Trigger: delivery event, with a product-category-based delay.
  • Entry filters: exclude returned/refunded line items; exclude recent multi-buyers already in another flow.
  • Branch: review score or sentiment drives positive / negative / no-response paths.
  • Downstream feeds: collected reviews populate dynamic blocks in win-back, browse-abandonment, and product-recommendation emails.
  • Channels: email for the substance, SMS for short high-value nudges, so the plan reaches people who don’t open email.
  • Goal at each stage: more reviews, fewer misfires, negatives caught privately, positives amplified, and the whole library reused.

How to measure the whole program

Don’t judge this on review count alone. Track the chain:

  • Review completion rate — is the asking working?
  • Sentiment mix — what share lands positive, and is it trending?
  • Negative-intercept rate — how many unhappy customers you reached before they went public.
  • Referral and UGC output from the happy branch.
  • Conversion lift on the flows where you reused reviews.
  • Revenue attributable to the program, the number that tells you whether any of this earned its keep — the method is in how to measure the revenue impact of review automation.

Where Omnisend fits

A plan with this many connected flows lives or dies on whether the parts share data. The sentiment branch needs review scores to flow back in. The suppression rule needs refund events. The reuse step needs reviews available inside the email builder. I run all of this in Omnisend, which I chose after testing it against Klaviyo, because the automations, segmentation, product data, and email/SMS/push all sit in one place, and it syncs with the common review apps (Judge.me, Loox, Yotpo, and similar) so review and refund signals can actually drive the branches. Building each flow in isolation across disconnected tools is where these plans usually break.

Honest limits: the tool wires the plumbing, but it can’t write a human negative-review reply, decide your sentiment threshold, or make a mediocre product worth referring. And none of this works without real order and returns data flowing in cleanly — fix that first. Omnisend is an affiliate partner of Shopimation; I recommend it from genuine daily use, and the free tier is enough to build and test the core three flows before you commit.

Your next step

Pick the single stage where your current setup is weakest — usually timing or the missing sentiment branch — and build just that one this week. A complete plan gets assembled one flow at a time, not in a weekend. Start with when is the best time to ask an ecommerce customer for a review and work down the list.
